100 years after its construction, Golborne bridge was in poor condition; flyposting, rust and subsidance had damaged the structure and the paintwork had deteriorated.

Urban Eye gained Network Rail approval to regenerate the bridge in 2008 and funding for the project in 2012. The local community selected artwork for the bridge panels from 4 design options by Miles Watson and Toby Laurent Belson.

Urban Eye led by Miles Watson, repaired and repainted the bridge and upgraded the security mesh with Network Rail’s term contractor Birse, and designed and installed new lighting with Light Projects Ltd, during Summer 2013.
